This French comedy comes to life in a sparkling English verse translation. Orgon has taken into his home the righteous, pious and virtuous Tartuffe. When the rest of the family doubts Tartuffe’s virtue, traps are set, masks are dropped, and the truth is exposed. This comic knot is so tightly tied that it takes near divine intervention to put things right. Augustine Ripa, director.

Additional performances: November 5, 9, 10, 11 and 12 at 7:30pm and November 6 at 2pm

fmf

Location and time: Drown 001, 6PM-9PM

In celebration of the Fall season the Film Club is presenting its first color film, Wes Anderson’s glorious adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic Fantastic Mr. Fox. Marvel at the production design! Wonder at the strange mix of Anderson’s flat dialogue and Dahl’s whimsical story! Feel melancholic about the world we live in as Mr. Fox tries to balance his domesticity with his need to indulge in his wild side! Cider and baked goods will be provided.
